Today the final version of Mail Archiver X 2.7 is available. You can download the new version in the Download section. I have written about the new features here. The most important new features are Lion compatibility and the move from Carbon to Cocoa.

With Mail Archiver 2.7 almost done it's time to think about the next version.

When the operating system changes, then for a time one needs to get used
to it. Some things look different, some things work different. So it has
been since time memorial (23 years or so). In Snow Leopard I had some
visual glitches. But I never ever had so much fun with a new OS version as
in Lion.

Mail Archiver X basically works with the upcoming new 10.7 Lion. However, AppleMail has changed a bit and as a consequence Mail Archiver 2.6 doesn't archive from AppleMail. The upcoming version 2.7 will fix this problem.

After the upload tool for the Mac App Store told me that my binary was invalid I started again at the beginning. It took me several hours 10 days ago to go over the build process again with a very find comb. Before I had been using a helper application called MASPT from Macappstuff. I couldn't get it to work. So I did everything by hand. Even with some template scripts this took quite a while. But now I can do the Mac App Store version with one click.
